See Harbor Front and Van Gogh art exhibition at the same time!

Van Gogh Exhibit

I went to Van Gogh exhibition finally. The show started long time ago but I was a little bit hesitant to go since it is just point-projected version. The room was huge when I entered and different lights in different angle showed most important work of Van Gogh. It was way too different from just looking at painting in the gallery, more active and yielded some good videos. I heard that another artist, Frida Kahlo is now on for another exhibition. In fact, the gift shop was already filled with Frida’s goods. A little bit late to get Van Gogh’s souveniers. Here is the video I took.

Beautiful, Isn’t it? The starry night theme was so amazing. The show ran for 30minutes, relatively short so you can do other things. The ticket was around $25 for general entry and there were package to add $10 more which includes $10 worth of gift. It was great show. Here are some other pictures I took.

The Harbor Front

The exhibit was held at 1 Yonge Street so it is right in front of harbor front, and I did not want to miss the beautiful water. It also had a jetboat rental so you can move around to see the harbour more closely. It was $15 one way so I just skipped. You should try it and grab an ice cream to look around the harbour. I took some photos.

It was so hot out there. I was better off taking off the jacket. It was really calming to see water flow. It is always good to look at the lake. You’ll know, of course, if you live Toronto.

Daily Ritual Café

I walked trough the concrete jungle through Bay and King and I could not help but stop at Daily Ritual café’s sign. It looked so beautiful and cool from outside so I walked in. I ordered sausage and egg English muffin and iced americano. They had only medium size and iced cup or sleeve did not have their logo. But, I other than that, it was very satisfactory. The sandwich tasted delicious and crispy. I should have got the hot coffee to show the really cool cup with logo but it was way too hot. I enjoyed it and it was close to Union station, where I have to catch a train back to Ajax. And they served the food so quick.

Note & Summary

Just note the google is really confusing when you try to go 1 Yonge St. The google says to go queen or king station and get off but I suggest getting off at Union and go through bay street short cut. It was 11 min or more walk from King Station and I was late for the show because google did not show me the right and quicker way to get there. Take my advice in the summer, you don’t want to be exhausted.

It was very short trip, which is always good. Take a visit there fore cool exhibition running throughout the Summer 2022, including Frida’s. Great way to entertain yourself with video art pieces. Thanks.
