Sharing eateries I went this June (2023) in Toronto
How is everyone doing this June? I am survivng from school and heading to cafes and restaurants whenever I have spare money and time.
Chowon Restuarant (17 Drewry Ave.)
What’s better than Korean barbeque for family gathering?
So, we went to a restaurant and had pork belly and many other sides. Food were so good and we had great time together for my cousins graduation and my birthday. We should gather more, I thought, which is more difficult than it sounds since everyone is busy. They even gave me birthday gift to me!!! What a surprise. Loved, loved, loved the thoughtful minds of them~~ Very comfortable enviroment for the restuarant.
Bingz @ Yorkdale mall
This is a new chinese fastfood chain restuarant opened everywhere in Toronto. Their signature menu, beef on paistry bread and fries seasoning were so good that is mouth-watering me right now. Try the plum juice!! That’s the best Asian drink I had in Toronto so far.
Sariwon (7388 Yonge St)
You won’t believe it but we went to another barbeque and nang-myun. Well, it was rainy afternoon afte work and everyone was so tired, so we decided to get energy from these. Pork, especially the one with soy sauce was exceptionally good. Nang-myun was good too, my style with thin noodles. I really like this place. I recommand it if you go with your mom and dad.
Hot House (35 Church St)
I mentioned that there is graduation of my cousins. We went here after that ceremony. It was nice viewed with flowers to eat outside. It was italian restaurant with some fusion Asian food. The food was great. I ordered creamy nocki and my cousins pizza and lasagna. Nocki was a bit salty that day but cream was great sauce to dip for pesto pizza. We all enjoyed them!
Pantry (1094 Yonge St)
I was studying as usual on Thursday, looking somewhere to eat alone. This place was perfect; near rosedale, very accesible. Food was very good, better than any other foud court. It looked healthy too. I ordered fried rice, beef steak, salmon and Tokyo salad. Fufilling lunch!~
Sam James Coffee (1132 Yonge St)
Well. So thursty because the meal did not have any soup, so I went to get a refresher nearby Pantry. Pink lemonade!! So cutely colored. They also served so many other non-caffeine drinks as well as classic cafe drinks. You can also shop for flowers including dry flowers. Very trendy for instagram.
Cafe Paradise
There is a theatre near my work place, along bloor and they have a cafe right next to it. I grabbed a iced americano real quick because I was heading back to work but it is such a nice cafe to study and enjoy lazy afternoons. The eating hall was so big it can serve at least 20-30 people. Try it when you are free or have something to do.
Edo Japan (320 Harwood Ave S.)
It was Friday afternoon on Thursday. I felt so tired after working on an assignment and went to this place for a late lunch. It is rare that Ajax has some nice places to eat, but consindering that, it was very affordable and satisfactory.
Rustle and Still Cafe(605 Bloor St W.)
My college has so much to do and I am not a person who can cram it all in a day. So, I end up going to places like this to study. (Not good for my economy but good for my mental helath.) This cafe is on the second floor. It is hard to pass by without noticing but their ban-mi and customer service is excellent. I ordered iced latte and a lemongrass bahn-mi. It was worth while visiting this place.
Mallo Coffee and Bar (785 Bathurst St.)
Impressive Airplane, isn’t it? This trendy cafe is near Bloor and Bathurst. I ordered Jamine tea on ice. They seemed to have wifi but I got no time at that point so I skipped studying and headed back to work. But, I liked it and great place to hang out, even alone. (Oh! they have creative designs even in washroom)
Pho 88 (5197 Yonge St.)
This place has best pho and you know I like pho. It is actually first place I went and fell in love with pho. So, you must try it. Very affordable and so good in tasting. I had a doctor’s appointment near by that day and I could go past it. That is special pho I ordered but I think ordered something else last time with tendon and meatballs. I miss it, still.
It’s Tea (5203 Yonge St)
Its tea is right by the pho shop I just introduced. Lots of fruit teas but I ordered just black milk tea with tapioca since I had little coffee and I had to get back to work. It is just bubble tea shop but it is nearby so many restuarants that would pair bubble teas like ramen and pho. If you crave one, why walk miles and miles? Visit here.
First & Last Cafe (346 Dupont St)
This place gave me best photos with sunlight and everything. This place has nice patios. I think I bought the space not food. I mean food was good too but more than that, the space has charms. I ordered watermelon and breafast sandwich (They made it on spot, like they cooked from egg there.) They had great wifi connection. If you are student, like me, go here!!!
Typist Studio (Near Dupont Station)
Funny thing is they did construction along the road so I had to walk around to find a crosswalk. Guess what? I found another pop-up cafe. I went in to look around the art show they displayed and ordered a coffee. (I had watermelon slush, right? No coffeine there) Oh, I sounded like an addict. Intersting art mostly with typwriters. There was already a lot of people inside studying and chilling. So, I skipped sitting and went back home.
That’s it for June 2023 now. Hope you enjoyed reading.
Thank you.
