This review post of places I went recently in Toronto. I hope I can inspire you.
Hi, everyone! I am so busy nowadays studying at my college and I am visiting a lot of cafes to stay up. I wanted to suggest some places to get coffee and light lunch in Toronto. Let’s get started.
% Arabica Cafe
First thing, I went to Yorkdale Shopping mall and searched up this place because they recently opened. So many people were waiting on the line still after a month of opening. The shop looked so clean and professional. I heard that it’s Japanese Cafe.
That’s me waiting in line. It took me like 20 minutes just to go to order. Go there when you got some time. You cannot rush in and get a coffee here yet.
I ordered iced matcha latte and normal hot latte. They had a great latte art. I was really happy with that. There was some signature menu that catched my eyes like tokyo latte but I chose to stick with classics because I wanted nothing sweet that day. Their matcha and latte was so strong, just warning people out there who has low tolerance to caffeine.
The cafe was not expensive, better price than expected. Wake yourself here!
I want to dance with somebody- Movie
After some caffeine moment, I watched the Whitney Houston Movie, bibliographic movie of her life. The movie theatre is just upstairs of Yorkdale mall near Indigo. All her top songs were in the movie, it was very moving and relatable. Go watch it!
Lauduree Macarons
I was passing by to go to the movies at Yorkdale and this place absolutely looked so cute. It was macaron place and I ended up taking them home since I had to study at night time to finish my assignment.
The macrons were very sweet and soft. Lemon was my favorite and I liked it after I put them in fridge so I suggest you do that too. The price was very pricy with the box and everything. Skip the box if you don’t want that.
Simple Burger
I got some time at Friday afternoon at work that I wanted a nice lunch. So I chose to have this burger at burger shop near my work place. (735 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5G 1L5) They had a giant poutine and a well-made burger. I also had some milkshake from Baskin Robins and could have survived the sleepy Friday afternoon.
Cafe Lunar
First thing in Thursday morning, I went to this Cafe located near Rosedale station to prepare me for a long day of study. It was very quite cafe.
I got a ‘cream drop’, which tasted like latte with whip cream and a bit of vanilla syrup. It tasted a bit sweet for me.
That’s me going home with the coffee. Looking energized again. Don’t you feel so much better after a coffee?
Cocoalatte
This place is at St. Clair station. You might have seen the cup in instagram, if you are a cafe lover in Toronto. They had so cute signature cup. I ordered latte but they had variety of flavored latte.
I also ordered waffles. Their waffles tasted regular. I hoped it was a little bit special and some whipped cream would have been nice. But, such a cute food and cafe was very cozy.
Mixed Senses
I went to Greek Town this Sunday and discovered this cafe.
It’s located at 592 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4K 1R1, just near Pape station conveniently. They had nice big room for studying and free wifi, so I actually stayed there till they are closed at 5, to finish my lecture material. Their avocado bagel was good but I will try it on a toast next time.
Dolce Gelato
Mixed sense cafe closed early so I needed to find a space that stay open late with wifi. While walking down the Danforth ave. I found this gelato place that opened late till night.
I got their coconut and watermelon gelato in medium and a chai latte. There was only one server and it was kind of hard to wait but their gelato was very good.
Summary
What a busy week with work and study and all that. Have a nice January moment with yourself and loved ones! It may be freezing and busy like me, hope all works out to be nice in the end. (Oh, I also got a hair cut.)
Thank You.
