Do what you really like-TedxTalk & Movie review

Well, I want to start this post with a movie I watched on Netflix recently, The High Note, because it connects with the title, “Do what you really like”. This is the theme I drew from the movie.

The high note offical movie trailer

To summarize, this movie is about an assistant of a superstar in music industry, and she really likes the artist and she wants to be a song director of her one day. Music is her thing and she always listen and edit music, especially her star’s. She grew up with Grace’s songs and her parents are also big fan of her. She really enjoys what she is doing, although she does not get paid that much. (By the way, I really have liked the actress for a long time. I like her calm mood and atmosphere she creates.) After watching this, I really realized doing what you like is very important in both sucess and bringing hapinness into lives. No matter how long it takes to be where you want to be, it is totally worth it, becuase you enjoy it. I questioned my self, am I really doing what I truely enjoy and making a difference in others? Anyways, if you like music, you’ll love this movie. This also brings to the ted talk I am going to analyse.

Tedxtalk: Do what you like, like what you do-Bert Jacobs

He started the business with his brother and he had no idea what business was, but business grew so huge despite mistakes, because the message was so powerful and he approached with passion and hope. Afterall, his company name is “Life is Good”. He talks humoursly about how almost all adults forget and become pessimistic, although they want to be postive. Comment

Very entertaining and inspiring. No jargons or vocabulary. But you can learn how to be humorous in English. He is very clear in deliviering message and confindent about what he is doing, the business and play. It shows how people’s storng belif is very impotant in making diference in the world. It made me think a lot and quesiton a lot.
