Visit to wonderland winterfest. Lightshow in hot chocolate season. It’s that wonderful time of the year.
The way to Wonderland…
I got a bus to Finch West station, got off at highway 407, and got viva train #20 NB, and ended up at Wonderland. It took me almost an hour, including wait time. I arrived at 2:30 but the enterence was closed until 3pm, so I visited starbucks across the street, (because it was freezing that day) and got a mocha latte. There was some food in the same plaza but I did not get any to eat inside the Wonderland.
Wonderland
Back to wonderlnad. I entered the park at 3:10. As you can tell, I recommand wearing warmly. I almost froze. Gloves are must and boots are seocnd must. If you forget, get it from the store near the enterence, they had wonderland version of mitten gloves. Don’t show your legs like me, you will get frosty legs.
Sky Swing
First, I oberved people on the sky swing. Yes. Some of the things were operating but, not many. I changed the mind in the line but I used to like this thing a lot when I was a child.
Photo spots
This was also near the enterence and people took pictures so I lined up as well and got one. I really like this angle and wondered why the elk was there, not Rudolf.
There was bunch of instrument playing snowmen in front of merry-go-around so I took some pictures. I am looking a lot like one of those snowman (I need to exercise again).
That’s another photo spot in front of cyclone. Like the whole park is filled with these figures.
Marry-go-around
Merry-go-around! What a romantic spot to take pics. I got on the outermost horse but It did not move up and down. You should get inner ones. Because it is not so dangerous, you can take pics.
Cyclone
It was very scary, I screamed. If that is what is meant for, they succeeded. My hair was up and down. I am way to old for this. Turn volume down.
Food
I felt like going to washroom because it was so cold. And, you know if you use the washrrom, you need to buy something from them, right? So, I got hot dog combo with gingerbread milkshake. They did not have the whip cream for milkshake, but that’s okey.
Skating
I did reserve for the skate at 4:20, but could not make it because of hotdog so went in at 5. I don’t know how to skate, to be honest so I needed a support thing to go around with me. It was so beautiful but cold. I think I know how to skate now.
After Dark
It got so dark in the park after skating. The lights even popped out more. I really like this, it takes me back to the past. Time-sleep, almost.
That’s this scene near the ice link. So colorful and music was very loud after 5pm. Now it was filled with people coming in. Now, I felt like going home. So frozen and exhausted after 4 hours of walk outside in winter.
Summary
First and foremost, wear warm please. It’s common sensual you know but easy to forget. I really liked the outdoor, better than indoors. There’s pros and cons but I liked this one better than the glow one. This was what I was looking for. Book online and enter with QR code so you don’t have to line up every time.
