Introducing to cafes and restaurants I went this week in/near Toronto.
Coffee Pocket
I want to introduce to the smallest cafe I have ever seen in toronto. It’s near bloor and christie, the KoreaTown. I visited before goinig to work because it is nearby.
They had this wall of photos of customers they love. I thought it was very nice and mindful. I thought this was a very cute design idea for a cafe with small space
I ordred mocha latte but I saw a girl ordering cool ice drink in front me It had the coffee ice cubes, I will get that next time. Their mocha latte was still good but that drink really looked better.
Forest Cafe
So, blogto site suggested this cafe near Don Mills station so I decided to go on my off-day. It was not far from the shopping centre, very convinient place to reach.
It was a korean cafe after all. They had good croffle, some baked goods, and iced tea drinks, besides regular cafe menu. Very clean and decorated interior attracted so many people apprently. There were a lot of people already so I suggest you go in the morning if you plan to study.
I ordered berry croffle, forest iced tea and a latte. I know, it’s a lot but I did not have a breafest until that point. Their croffle tasted great but I hoped they provide real cutlery because platic ones somewhat made it hard to eat. The forest iced tea was my favorite. It was I think some lemon and lime with soda and mint tea leafs, I found it very refreshing. Latte was just regular tasting.
I studyed there for an hour for my upcoming college test. It is my first test ever for my administration program, very important, of course. I hope I do well on the test. Anyways, after this I headed to sqaure one to meet somebody and have proper dinner.
Mado (Restuarant)
Hours later, I arrived at sqaure one and met a friend of mine. After visiting starbucks for coffee shortly, I wanted to go to the restuarnat right beside it. We went in and I really liked their meditarian, greek style interior of the restuarant.
The server lady gave us a seat near the dessert area. Like I said, this place is just cute and modern. It was not so busy because we went past lunch and prior to dinner time.
Finally, I had the first proper food for the day! I ordered shrimp pasta, salmon salad, kebab and a lemon smoothie. I really liked the pasta and lemon smoothie. Salmon salad had vinegar dressing, just for those who are curious. Kebab, I don’t know, I really would have appreciated it if there was hot sauce. It was very costly though, including tax, we paid $100 and we promised to go somewhere else next time.
We said bye to each other after the meal and it was already dark and cold outside. On the way home, I felt a little bit moody, just regular SAD (Seasonal depresive symptoms), you know. I should get some extra vitamins.
Summary
It was a great week, with a lot of new places. I really enjoyed the week beside the mood. I really hope I feel the same after the test, though. Oh, well it is just life after all. I hope you all enjoy winter too. In Toronto or outside Toronto.
Thank You.
