Distillery District, Balzac Coffee, Cafe Inside, and Pizzailo.
Okey, it was third week of October 2022 and it was very cold and windy, even rainy in Toronto. When it’s like this, you need a good hot coffee and a good place to visit to take some last fall pictures, right? It’s last chance to get no snow picture outside in Canada. The place I chose was Distillery District. How to get there? You need to take subway to King Station and ride street car to Parliament St.
Balzac Coffee
First place I went is of course, you know me, coffee place. Best coffee. Great taste. Good atmosphere, variety of menu, equipped with fast wi-fi and power outlet at every table. I would be five star. As you can see, they have nice patios too.
I ordered mocha latte, a brownie, and de-caffeinated iced latte. Great combo for another hour or so of studying. That was end of the day because I needed to go to work. What? Well. I went there twice so it is way too soon to be disappointed.
Landmarks
Okey, that same week, I went there again. You can see different clothing’s with warmer coat. Let me introduce landmarks in Distillary, or photospots, rather.
That landmark is actually a bunch of locks on the wire on the closer look. We have similar thing in South Korea at Nam-san. Across-cultures, people wish their love to last.
That’s me in front of Arena coffee place but I did not get coffee there I just looked around and left. Cool seats though.
There was a small art gallery on the way out of Distillery. So I took some pictures there at their patio.
That’s the one of the landmark that represents Distillery District. Like the whole street is a big art gallery with pieces of architecture arts.
Sweet Escape Pastries
It was lunch time so, after looking around a place to eat for a bout 30 min or so without success, I got too cold and went into nearabout cafe. Well. the exterior was not so new but the caprese panini and the red velvet and chocolate ice-cream was one of the best. The cheese in panini stretched so far that I had hard time taking the next bite. Skip around my Instagram to see the video. (linked below)
That’s it for distillery district. I will go there next time to check out vintage things during Winter, probablly near Christmas? Conveniently near downtown to feel old historic vibe in building forest. It looks even better with lights on at night time, I heard.
Café Inside
That same week, I went to a Korean Cafe. It was near Sheppard-Yonge Station.
I ordered 6 macaron set, blue lemonade, and vanilla iced latte. It costed me just a little bit over 30 dollars. But the blue lemonade was so tasty and sparkly, it was worth it. Macarons are not my usual favorites but they tasted great. I wanted to draw that day so I brought the book and a laptop. I spent 3-4 hours and got much of the work done. It was quite and had fast wi-fi.
Pizzailo
I spent way to much on cafés that week. So, my lunch had to be something economic and quick. I chose a piece of pizza. Vegetarian one, it happened to be. I got a garlic dip and a soda under 10 dollars. If you need to grab and go, it is best to get pizza, in Toronto.
Summary
Great place to be winter is Distillery District. Balzac coffee was definably the best place to go for a cup of coffee in the area. Café Inside had great sparkling drinks. Get the blue one, please. Pizzaiolo may be my second choice to pizza hut when for lunch. What a busy week but I enjoyed everything.
Thank You.
