World of Barbie Exhibition at Square One Centre, Mississauga, and Cineplex.
I saw an ad on Instagram and went to barbie exhibition on Oct 14, 2022. It is located right in front of Square One GO bus terminal. It was so cute and bigger than expected. It was pink everywhere so I took a lot of pictures, (if that make sense.) It was like movie set where there are multiple rooms and each room like photobooth.
Photo booths
There was a big mirror and bunch of photo booths, themed with different Barbie’s hobbies. One of them was tennis, the other one with travel and so on. You can get inside the scene and pretend you are Barbie.
For example, that’s me entering to the tennis room. On the wall there are Barbie’s clothing and racket decoration. There were total of 6-8 rooms, I remember.
Barbie’s House
The drawer was not openable in the dress room but, it was kind of cool they made up this space with real furniture to sit on.
That’s Barbie’s room with sofa. Great photo spot with a little bit of lighting issues but it was good enough.
That’s Barbie’s vanity room, I would say most decorated spot. Of course, all the make up things are important for Barbie.
That’s barbie’s living room with big TV screen. There were also kitchen but, I forgot to take photos.
Barbies Lab/ Spaceship
There were a lot of kids excited at Barbie’s lab-science themed space. It was really cool with moving videos and there were even a table with fake microscopes.
That’s inside of spaceship. On the wall of the seat, (I know it is backward), but it says “barbie”. It was really cool with all those purplish lights and there were glass floored.
After half an hour, I got too much barbie and photos of myself. So, I head down to square one center, which was right beside it and I went to a cute little café inside the mall, called Alaia
Alaia café
I had their rainbow bagel, gummy bear refresher, and a latte. They were all good! I regret I did not get it for here, because I noticed they had good cups.
Some cool lights and wall art of that place brought the place to life. All pink here like the barbie place. What a connection. If you like princess-themed place, there you go, best place for you! And, they had nice and interesting drinks. Perfect for girls only date.
H&M and Zara
I got this outfit from H and M and Zara, of course, best option in Canada. I bought a navy colored hoodie and a short silver colored skirt from H&M. I got the leather vest from Zara. It costed me like 120 bucks to buy the whole outfit so it was not too bad of spending.
Lyle, Lye Crocodile at Cineplex
Okey, it is a bit childish movie for my age but this musical made me sing the OST of Shawn Mendes for a week. “On the top of the world tonight~” I could not finish it because of the bus time but the singing crocodile basically meets a lonely child in his room and it is a story of the scary looking creature getting along with his family using his kind heart. That’s all I know about that show.
Summary
The barbie exhibition was better than I expected. I hoped they had better lighting but still very satisfied with the photos. Bring the kids, they will love it. Alaia café was one of the best café I went in a mall; they had their own theme and the food and drink were great. The movie, I hoped I had watched the full thing but I liked the beginning part. It was a great weekend getaway at Sqaure One.
Thank you.
